Every Wag

Every Wag is a pet care app focused on proactive, preventative care. It helps owners stay organized with reminders, document storage, and health tracking while tailoring recommendations to each pet’s breed and species. By centralizing routines and insights in one place, the app makes it easier for families and caretakers to coordinate care and for pet owners to feel confident they’re supporting their pet’s long-term health.

Highlighted Outcomes

  • Launched a consumer mobile product on both iOS and Android from 0-1 in less than 5 months and achieved 80 downloads in the first two months

  • Achieved a 5-star rating on the Apple App Store

  • Early traction with shelters, building partnerships to promote the app to adopters and explore donation-based revenue streams

  • Established proof of concept and foundation for growth in the pet care space

From 0-1

I led the process of a mobile pet care app from ideation to delivery. Including understanding the current market and the target customer to develop solutions for a core set of problem which provided focus for a minimal set of features.

We were able to go from 0 to 1, from starting the infrastructure to delivering a product to market on both iOS and Android using React Native, in less than 5 months.

Validation & Iterative Delivery

To shape the product, I conducted user research with pet owners and vets through surveys and prototypes, gathering feedback to refine features and confirm product-market fit. Based on feedback, current market needs, and expected value to the user and business, I prioritized features iteratively starting with a set of minimum features that solved a core set of problems and could be expanded upon.

Iterations after the initial launch included; the ability to manage important pet care contacts, autogenerating shareable PDF sitter care instructions, sharing pet profiles and visibility of tasks with multiple access roles for caretakers, and enabling users to pin charts to dashboard and quick add data points.

I also gained experience using AI/ML by providing users AI-based health and care insights based on their breed or species. We aim to continue providing AI tools tailored to a user's specific pet and needs.

Change Management

Cultural change is the most difficult because it is the most umcomfortable and scary. Even though the change was championed by leadership, there was still push back. To faciliate the change I used patterns for introduding change such as lunch and learn sessions, dog fooding ideas, having evangelists promote ideas, and working closely with skeptics of the changes. For any successful organizational change, the focus needs to be on the people.

Product Support

As the Product Support Manager, I managed a high-volume internal support team responsible for triaging and troubleshooting tier 2 issues. I partnered closely with engineering and product teams to ensure bugs, feature requests, and technical issues were accurately prioritized based on severity and business impact. To drive consistency and accountability, I established SLAs and implemented a formal ticketing process in JIRA, streamlining triage and improving communication between support teams and product owners. I also implemented a company-wide internal help portal that reduced employee-submitted tickets.

In addition, our team managed the end-to-end incident management process, from triage and impact assessment to stakeholder communication and post-incident learnings. Regular review sessions ensured follow-through on action items and led to system improvements that reduced repeat incidents.

Website Specialist

Earlier in my time at Yodle, I worked on the production team customizing and implementing client websites. In this role, I identified opportunities to improve both the customer and internal team experience. I developed a help desk to address common customer issues, which significantly reduced resolution times. I also played a critical role in the pilot and rollout of a new content management system (CMS), working closely with product management to shape the tool and lead the creation of training materials. I conducted live training sessions across all office locations, ensuring successful adoption and consistent use of the new platform.
